The Prime Minister’s options over the Home Secretary

 

I have no wish to give interviews or to offer public advice to the Prime Minister over the Home Secretary. The BBC who never want to interview me on things I know about and talk about are suddenly very keen to hear my view on this.

The PM has three main options.

Print money, get inflation. Destroy money, get recession

When will they admit that they created too much money and bought too many bonds, causing inflation? Senior people in the Eurozone do now accept their Central bank, tge ECB made that mistake.

Further slap in the face for local shops

Earlier this week, Wokingham Conservatives held a business forum in the town centre which was attended by over 20 local businesses and was an excellent opportunity for us to hear from local businesses about the challenges they are facing.

Cut taxes now

The budget needs to bring the deficit down. It should  lower price rises and increase growth. The Treasury seems to think with the Bank that it needs to get inflation down first with austerity policies and falls in money and credit.

Remembrance Sunday and demonstrations

As a strong believer in democracy and free speech I support people’s right to peaceful demonstrations to tell others how deeply they feel about an important issue.

November 5th

Today we remember a dreadful terrorist plot to kill the King and Parliament assembled. A small group of men hired a cellar under the Lords chamber where the King would speak to his Parliament and packed it with barrels of gunpowder.
