Richard Ashworth MEP

I was first elected as a Member of the European Parliament for the South East of England in June 2004 and was reelected in June 2009. I sit in a 26 strong Conservative delegation in Brussels and we are fortunate to have a wealth of experienced MEPs, many of whom were elected for the third time at the last European Election. You will find on my site a snap-shot of my work so far with some general information about the EU and how it affects your lives.Richard is the Leader of the UK Conservative Party delegation to the European Parliament.

Nirj Deva MEP

It is an honour to serve as one of the ten elected Members of the European Parliament for the beautiful South East of England region.I was first elected to the European Parliament in 1999 and was re-elected in 2004 and 2009.  Prior to this, I was as a Member of the British Parliament and served as Parliamentary Private Secretary in the Scottish Office as a member of the Select Committees on the Parliamentary Ombudsman (1993-1997) and Education (1994-1996).  My full, extended biography can be found here.

Daniel Hannan MEP

Daniel Hannan has been Conservative MEP for the South East of England since 1999. Local Conservatives voted him to the top of the regional list for the 2004 and 2009 European elections.He is Secretary-General of the Alliance of European Conservatives and Reformists - the only bloc in Brussels that campaigns against closer integration.In March 2009, Daniel’s speech in the European Parliament attacking Gordon Brown attracted one-and-a-half million views within 72 hours, and went on to become the most watched political clip in British history.
