I have lived in Finchampstead for 18years with my husband Charles and two grown up children Emily and George.
My background is in nursing and I now currently run my own online business.
I have been the ward member for Finchampstead south for the last 3 years and worked hard to represent its residents.
In these 3 years I have spoke against inappropriate planning applications, my motion to allow girls equal opportunity to play football in schools as boys was passed and becoming council policy. I have also worked hard on residents behalf with housing developers on the new developments in Finchampstead south and presented a petition signed by over 1000 to hold developers to account over their section 106 agreements. In January this year I successfully proposed a motion in council to hold developers to account on their planning obligations, this has also now become council policy.
Outside of council work I am chair of governors at Nine Mile ride school and lead on safeguarding. I am also a trustee at Wokingham United charities and sit on their grants committee, these are both roles I really value and enjoy.
I enjoy running and you may often see me out and about with the Finch coasters running club and regularly take place in local running events and this year I will be running the London marathon.
If I am elected again I will continue to work hard to represent all of the Finchampstead community and strive to keep the aspects of Finchampstead that make it what it is by
- Keeping our green gaps green and ensuring that the local plan is delivered to protect them
- work to prevent inappropriate development
- push to keep our roads maintained to a better standard
- speak up in council and make sure residents views and concerns are heard.
