Cllr Bob Wyatt welcomed the news that Conservative controlled Wokingham Borough Council is investing up to £5.5m in St Crispin’s School.
Cllr Bob Wyatt said, “Wescott has excellent schools. Wescott Infants and Westende Junior schools are amongst the finest in the Borough and provide a great foundation for children, preparing them for their senior education.”
Conservative controlled Wokingham Borough Council is investing up to £5.5m in St Crispin’s for a variety of developments which include:-
· A complete new science block with 9 new laboratories to provide an education fit for the 21st Century science student.
· A new lecture theatre and a multi use teaching space.
· To update the Maths and English sections of the school and to improve and update a range of refurbished spaces to bring the building up to a high state of condition and decor.
· A new multi use games area (known as a MUGA) will replace the old Tennis Courts and will provide a much wider range of outside game opportunities.
Planning permission has been granted and work will commence on site soon. It will, combined with its outstanding OFSTED rating, make this a school of choice.
