More Money for our Schools!

John Redwood MP writes: The government has announced the National Funding formula figures for schools and constituencies. These figures tell us how much money the government has allocated per pupil and per school.

This new £3 million project will bring the local community together. The centre has been designed as a community hub to host a wide variety of activities and events so there will be something for everyone.

New Free School for Children with Special Needs

Prime Minister Boris Johnson said: “We are delivering on our promise to reform our education system to ensure the next generation reach their full potential, and have already committed to increasing funding per pupil in primary and secondary schools.”

Greenway in Matthewsgreen and Cantley Park set to take next step

The Conservative led Council's greenways project is a great benefit to our residents. Offering a network criss-crossing the borough of walking and cycling paths gives our residents an alternative to their cars.
Not only will this help cut down on congestion, but it will also improve our air quality and the health of our residents.


“This crucial investment in public transport infrastructure helps not only us free up the space here in Wokingham Borough but in neighbouring areas as well,” said Cllr Pauline Jorgensen, executive member for highways and transport.

New Primary School for Shinfield opening in September

Cllr UllaKarin Clark says: "When it comes to providing schools in new developments it has been our overriding principle that it is better to be ahead of demand and have a school ready too early than be in the position of having too few school places for children. We now have that demand in Shinfield."
