I was born in Sweden and obtained British Citizenship in 1982. I'm married with 3 children and live in Wokingham with my husband who has now retired from HM Diplomatic Service. We've lived in Emmbrook since 1986 and I've been a Wokingham Borough Councillor since May 2003.
Currently the Executive Member for Children's Services, I also serve as a Non Exec Director and have been the Chairman of Loddon Homes since May 2019.
I studied at the University of Lund, Sweden, was admitted as a Barrister by the Swedish Bar Association and have been employed as a solicitor / European lawyer within England and Wales. Previously I worked in the County Court and in legal practice in Sweden and the USA. I have also worked as a foreign language teacher at the Centre for Foreign Language in Belgrade, Yugoslavia and in Dallas, Texas and I qualified as a Montessori Teacher at the London Montessori Centre.
