I was born and grew up in Norreys. I went to Keephatch Primary and then to St Crispins. Both schools have changed so much since I went and it's great to see that they are getting the investment needed to give our children the best start in life.
The Wokingham of today is a significant improvement over the one I grew up in. A lot of that is due to the investment decisions of our Conservative-led Wokingham Borough Council.
I, for one, will never forget that Liberal Democrats in Wokingham protested against all of the redevelopment. They wanted to build a ‘dark warehouse’ rather than the beautiful new town, public squares, shops, play parks and leisure spaces that we all now enjoy.
I am hugely Proud of Wokingham and what it has become, and so proud to be a part of the Conservative team that had the vision and determination to deliver it.
Wokingham is much better than it was ten years ago, but there is still more to be done. Our town has been transformed in the last ten years and continues to benefit from fantastic new facilities opening. The new play park at Cantley is amazing and my 2 boys love playing there.
Medical provision is so important and keeping it local is key which is why I'm fighting to keep a GP at Burma Hills surgery and I will not stop campaigning until the CCG and Wokingham Medical Centre have done as they promise. I remember my mum having to drag 3 sons to Burma Hills each time one of us or herself was ill, this would have been far harder on her if she had to go into
town.
