Cllr Carol Jackson-Doerge has raised significant concerns throughout the Rising Sun’s planning application process. Carol is pleased that West Berkshire Council refused the initial application to extend the rear commercial floor space of the Rising Sun and the change of use of the first floor into 3 residential flats.
The current approved usage is A4 (Drinking Establishment), A3 (Restaurant & Café) and A1 (Shop).
The developers are appealing the council’s decision. Carol has already raised concerns with planning officers about the suitability of this application but you also have the opportunity to have your say on this appeal by contacting Carol directly with your concerns at cjacksondoerge@westberks.gov.uk
