Lucy Demery has been selected as the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Wokingham for the General Election on Thursday, July 4.
She was unanimously adopted by members of the Wokingham Conservative Association as the local candidate after Sir John Redwood announced he was stepping down after 37 years.
Lucy has a business background having worked as Managing Director and Head of Fintech at a British bank. She has experience as a local campaigner, community volunteer and mum of two boys.
“I am honoured to have been selected as the Conservative Parliamentary candidate for Wokingham. I’m excited to work hard for residents to get things done,” said Lucy.
“I want to ensure that we reward hard-working families and businesses, encourage investment and growth in a vibrant local economy, protect our green spaces, and deliver improved local services.
“A new generation of Conservative candidates is stepping forward to offer a bright new future for our communities and our country.”
