Wokingham Conservatives come out in numbers to protest Cement Works

Wokingham Conservatives came out today and met with protestors in Shinfield to stand up against the proposal for a new gravel extraction site and cement facility by Cemex. The Wokingham paper came today to speak with residents and representatives and our members came out to support.

New Executive Team at WBC

The new Leader of Wokingham Borough Council has unveiled his Executive team charged with taking key decisions for the authority.

Cllr Julian McGhee-Sumner, the Council Leader, set out his team after being elected by fellow councillors at the Full Council meeting on 14th December.

Vote of Confidence in Wokingham

Wokingham recently welcomed a visit from Claire Perry MP. Claire visited the Peach Place development in Wokingham and spoke about the vote of confidence in the town's future. 

11,250 New Apprenticeships since 2010

Since May 2010 we have been committed to delivering over 3 million new apprenticeships. This government wants to enable everyone to go as far as their talents will take them, and are committed to helping young people get into work and support themselves.
 

Unemployment Falls Again

More good news was announced today by the Government: Figures released today by the ONS show that more people are in work than ever before. Under this Conservative government, unemployment is at its lowest level since 1975. Over 3 million more people are now in work since 2010.
