Huge success of surge testing and vaccination programmes

A staggering 20,521 tests were completed as part of the Conservative-led council’s surge testing programme, which took place between Monday 7 and Sunday 20 June, helping to identify 60 positive Covid-19 cases which may have otherwise been missed.

We had a great first week, vaccinating 2,650 local people. There are busy periods in the morning and early evening when the queues get a little longer, so if you don’t want to wait plan your visit during the quieter times from around midday to 3pm.
